I started knitting Comfort Dolls aka Izzy Dolls, Pocket Pals a few years ago on the machine. they are the ideal way to use up odds and ends of yarn. The pattern is a simple one piece rectangle but effective and you can get as carried away as you like. They are an ideal charity knit and make up really quickly with no fiddly arms and legs. The basic pattern is below, all you need is a tension swatch first.
